How to Make a Graduation Photo Book or Scrabpook Album

October 20th, 2009 at 10:19pm Under General

Graduation is a very good theme for use in a scrapbook. This kind of scrapbook could be started years before the graduation or just a few months ahead of the event. As an ongoing project, it could be something you use to record all the school years’ memories. You might involve your child in the creation of this book, or just make it your own special project. Your scrapbook could be created as a traditional scrapbook or you could make a digital scrapbook.

Keeping memories in a book or album like this will preserve them for the future. Keeping a record of achievements, trials and other passages through school years makes an album your child will treasure.

There are some pre-designed scrapbook papers with a graduation theme. And, you can add images such as clip art that you would print out, cut out and glue into the book. Preserve the photos and documents you are adding to a traditonal scrapbook by using archival safe adhesives.

The most personal things you can add make the album more interesting such as: iinformation about your child’s participation in clubs and hobbies or news articles about your child – and even a personal note about something you remember about them. Possible other additional documents to include are awards and report cards or copies of them. Ask for contributions such as photos or notes from friends, teachers and family members to add. Those hopes and dreams you have never shared with your child could be included as personal, handwritten notes. Making a digital scrapbook would require these items to be scanned and photo edited.

Here’s one way graduation scrapbooks can be divided: Add pages by each year of school with the class photos for each year. School dances or prom mementos. Use some graduation stickers as extras or embellishments. Dedicate a page for each year, such as: freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. Die cuts can be used to add interest to your pages. Die cuts are colorful paper or chipboard shapes with themes such as music, dance, or sports. These can be bought at art, craft and scrapbook supply stores.)

Save pages for photos of all the graduation events, parties and the ceremony. Keep room in the scrapbook for any invitations to the graduation ceremony or announcements about the event. Add journaling (information you add by hand) with pens, or in digital scrapbooks you can use special fonts.

Pick out a nice binder or scrapbook album to keep the graduation scrapbook pages in. Be sure the album you plan to use will have room for all of your school memorabilia including, awards, copies of report cards or school photos.

After graduation, when the diploma arrives, you might include a copy of it in the album. It’s worth remembering, so plan your graduation album and keep it up-to-date. What a great gift this will make, and it’s a way to make the best high school, middle school or college memories last. These are the memories of your child’s most important years you’ll want to remember and share.

A Creative Public Relations Tool

October 10th, 2009 at 11:52am Under General

The human body, over 70% water, is the environment for all of our bodily functions. It regulates temperature, in addition to dissolving and ridding your body of various impurities and toxins.Nothing else can clean and hydrate your body like pure spring water. Important? It’s the most vital fluid you can drink.

When water originates in a subterranean spring and flows to the surface it is considered natural spring water. Natural spring water retains each of its minerals. Bottled spring water is better suited for human hydration needs, and that is important for your good health. This water lacks the salt, sugar, flavors, impurities and toxins found in most water.

This has led to the biggest new fad– indeed, a whole new industry– all kinds of bottled waters. The first 2 pages of a Google search on bottled water, lists many websites for water from any pure spring in the country, each claiming to be the purest and best tasting. This leads to the newest and most popular way to get your logo, brand, and slogan into the marketplace. It’s bottled natural spring water that is imprinted with your company’s logo or trade mark on custom made labels. This type of marketing is referred to as private labeling.

Bottled water with customized labeling is now readily available as an advertising and marketing device on many websites. This is a clever, affordable way to market your company name, logo, or message to your customers. Savvy marketers always watch for the newest and most creative idea; with the new health fad of always carrying drinking water with you, custom labeled bottled waters or sparkling waters have become a widespread and pouplar innovation. Sparkling waters can also be flavored with aromas.

Public relations teams in every business market are thinking of all kinds of ways to capitalize on this trend. A creative PR consultant will find it hard to run out of ideas. Politics, business, charities, churches, sports, and even family events are just some of the possible fields for this new PR tool.

The most unique form of branding that I found? Private label bottled water for wedding guests. Individualized labels can be made for weddings, cocktail parties, engagement parties and outdoor events, all with private labels with the name of the bride and groom and the wedding date. The label can be designed to match the other items commonly ordered for weddings, such as napkins. Want to make private labels instantly for free? Just go to freelabelmaker.

I guess you could even use this device to announce the birth of your first son – private labeled bottled water named after the baby. I am sure if I sit here long enough, I can think of a million more ways to use private labeled bottled water, but I am sure you already get the idea .
